Spent about 2 years going to SYF and I would highly recommend to anyone considering starting BJJ. Bruno and the rest of the instructors are great and it is a very welcoming environment for beginners. I enjoyed training with everyone else that was a part of the gym as well.

I’ve been going to Submit Your Friend Academy for about a year and a half now, and it’s awesome! I started Jiu-Jitsu not knowing much, but now I feel way more confident, and I’ve made a bunch of new friends. The coaches, Bruno and Kaio, are super cool and always help me learn new moves. They make class fun and explain things in a way that’s easy to get. If you want to try Jiu Jitsu and have a good time, I definitely think you should check out Submit Your Friend Academy!

Took my grandkids .. cancelled membership in march.. and they charged me for 2 more months… tried calling going over in person and till this day have NOT gotten my refund and NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE!!! Very disappointed 🤬🤬🤬🤬

I am so very grateful for the support and generosity shown by Professor Bruno of SYF BJJ. On more than one occasion, he has stepped in to help my son at competitions when we did not have a coach present. Even though we are not members of this gym, he took the time to support a young athlete and make sure my son felt confident going into his matches. That kind of willingness to show up for someone outside of his own team speaks volumes about his character and love for the sport. His encouragement made a meaningful difference in my son’s experience, and we truly couldn’t be more grateful for his kindness and professionalism. It’s rare to see that level of sportsmanship and mentorship, especially in such a competitive environment. I have been training here for 7 years and have no plans to ever change gyms. Joining Submit Your Friend gave me a sense of community, taught me self defense, and gives me something to look forward to every week. It is a great gym for all levels and there is a class for anyone. Everyone is super friendly and the gym has a positive culture that is really hard to find anywhere else.

Great gym for kids and adults! They have conveniently schedule, patient teachers that work with kids nicely, family atmosphere and parents community. Fantastic location for Watertown, Boston, newton and Brookline. Nicely priced for 3-7 classes a week for kids. And they have summer and winter camps that my kids love.

Amazing people. Amazing jiu jitsu. Recommend 100% to anyone that wants to be truly part of a family and learn jiu jitsu.
